Slum Village
Chances are, if you know anything about the Detroit music scene then you’ve heard of the hugely influential hip-hop trio that is Slum Village. Founded in the early 90’s by childhood friends, Baatin, T3 and J Dilla. Vol.1 was critically acclaimed in Detroit’s underground scene and found its way into the hand of A Tribe Called Quest’s, Q-Tip who later featured on, Fantastic, Vol.2. With multiple changes to their lineup throughout the years, the group now exists as a duo featuring T3 and producer Young RJ.
