Novel Nights host a writing workshop led by Lucy English, writer, performer and Reader in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University.
“‘The Hero’s Journey’ is one of the oldest stories in human history.; a story of challenges, obstacles, rebirth and regeneration. It is embedded in our culture and represents how we understand the nature of story itself. Script writers, novelists and dramatists still use the hero’s journey to create compelling contemporary tales. In this workshop we will explore the basic elements of this ancient narrative and see what we can learn about our own story lines.”
