Elena Z. Zitrone is a UK-based artist, printmaker
and artists’ book maker.
“Influenced by the Japanese masters
of ukiyo-e, Elena’s most recent work includes screen prints as a result of observing nature by drawing.
“The drawing approach is dominant in her work
and her prints have a painterly character. She is
inspired by elements that allow her to analyse and
interpret the movement and bring it to the visual
aspect on paper.
“Elena’s work is linear and includes a
study of forms and colours. In this work she reveals the impression of natural elements and guide the viewer by making use of the white of the paper and the lines which introduce gradually the image of the landscape.”
