Date: Friday, Nov 24 2017 - Sunday, Dec 10 2017
Venue: Test Space
Artists
lewdjaw

An exhibition of recent works by artist lewdjaw, including “broken paintings, some fake plug sockets, some benches, and an infinitely long screen saver.

“The artist hopes that the show will appeal to National Gallery membership card holders. It features some paintings on a wall, some benches to sit on, and some unused plug sockets.

“The exhibition space is also frequently used as a corridor, so like the National Gallery there is a strong chance someone else will stand or pass in the way whilst visitors look at the work.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

“The benches will also aid visitors to stare really hard at the paintings without getting too tired, or rest while they fail to charge their phones. The screensaver at the entrance/exit to the exhibition will remind visitors how to conduct themselves during their visit and then again as they head downstairs towards the gallery cafe.”

lewdjaw (b.1990 Loughborough) lives and works in Bristol. He is co-director of east bristol contemporary, and lectures at Bristol University for the Fine Art society.

Nov 24-Dec 10, preview Fri 24, 6-8pm. Exhibition open Tue-Sun 12-5pm.
