A second wave of artists have been added to the lineup for Simple Things 2016. The announcement includes the introduction of two new headliners; experimental noise-rap group Death Grips, and Russian DJ and producer Nina Kraviz.
The live music bill is strengthened by the additions of instrumental noise-rock trio Three Trapped Tigers, Icelandic-English girl band Dream Wife, Californian rockers Allah-las, and punk outfit Bad Breeding. Genre hopping electronic producer Anna Meredith will also perform alongside a full live band.
Additions to an already impressive club lineup include an influx of house and techno from Bristol DJs October and Marco Bernardi, as well as the inclusion of dBridge from Exit Records and Rinse FM favourite Brackles.
The second wave of artists also includes a number of up-and-coming acts, such as Gold Coast, She Drew the Gun, Gold Class, Kayla Painter and Shame.
The festival involves multiple venues across the centre of Bristol on Saturday the 22nd of October. Events will take place across a combination of established music venues, the Colston Hall and O2 Academy, and late night club spaces, Lakota and The Island.
This year’s edition also includes a finale concert at the Colston Hall on Sunday the 23, with a closing performance from iconic American director and composer John Carpenter.
On June 1, Simple Things released the first part of their lineup, which included: Warpaint, Ben UFO, Steve Mason, Metronomy, Jessy Lanza, Powell, Tim Sweeney, Suuns, Helena Hauff, Abra, Veronica Vasicka, AJ Tracey, Kanda Bongo Man, Crazy Cousinz, and DJ Spinn.
