Bristol Bears support causes at heart of club’s community work
Bristol Bears players and coaching staff from the men’s and women’s teams visited more than a dozen locations across the city as part of their Giving Back Day 2025.
The sixth annual event saw Bears representatives supporting causes that sit at the heart of the club’s community work.
Schools visited included Abbeywood Community School, Merchants Academy, City Academy, Baytree Specialist School, Kingsweston School and Oasis Brislington Academy; with players also visiting the BRI, FareShare South West, Bristol Prison, St Mungo’s, St Peter’s Hospice, Ambition Lawrence Weston, Sandford Station Retirement Village and St Monica’s Trust.

Those taking part in the day helped serve food, packed parcels, joined in classroom activities, and chatted with residents and patients.
A Bristol Bears spokesperson said: “Bears Giving Back Day has become a firm fixture in the club calendar, reflecting Bristol Bears’ commitment to being more than a rugby club and continuing to use the sport’s profile to create meaningful impact across the city and beyond.”
