A leading national law firm with a significant presence in Bristol has been unveiled as the principal sponsor of Bristol Bears.

Under the new deal, the firm’s logo will appear on the both the men’s and women’s teams.

In the 2025/26 season, the men’s team was sponsored by travel company Kaelo, while the women’s side was backed by cloud-based finance software firm Xledger, who will remain the front of the shirt sponsor for 2026/27 season.

Tom Tainton, chief executive of Bristol Bears, said: “This is a groundbreaking moment for the club and we are delighted to welcome Foot Anstey into the Bears family.

“Having Foot Anstey’s name on our shirts is about far more than a business agreement.

“This authentic partnership represents a shared set of values and a long-term commitment to driving success across our men’s, women’s and community programmes.”

Foot Anstey will also become the principal partner of the Bristol Bears Foundation, the club’s charitable arm, helping support its community engagement.

The firm, which has operated in Bristol since 2011, will become the preferred exclusive legal services provider for both the club and players over the term of the partnership.

“Sport has a unique ability to bring people together and create momentum. We’re excited about what we can achieve alongside Bristol Bears and the Bristol Bears Foundation over the coming years.”

Foot Anstey, whose Bristol office is based at Glass Wharf, has expanded its presence in the city over the years, growing from a team of ten to 130 staff.
