“I like eating out at fine dining restaurants as much as the next person but, deep down, I’d choose fried chicken over anything. Wing’s Diner in Small Bar on King Street simply does the best fried chicken in Bristol.”
Fox & Feather

“This little spot on Gloucester Road is the perfect place for a fashion and home loving girlie like me. Fox & Feather is a female-led independent business supporting everything Bristol has to stand for through fashion. My cup of tea.”
Lido

“The Lido in Clifton is a magical place. As soon as you enter its doors it’s like an oasis and the general calmness makes me feel like I’m on holiday. It’s my favourite place to take people when they visit but equally, it’s a great spot to read my book when I want an escape from the city.”
Left Handed Giant

“Every week I’ve lived in Bristol, my love for a good beer has progressively grown. It’s been a journey but Left Handed Giant has got me there one Radler at a time. Also anywhere that offers padron peppers as a beer snack like their brewpub in Finzels Reach is fine by me.”
Watershed

Watershed currently has three cinema screens – photo: Martin Booth
“One of my favourite things to do on a rainy winters day is wander down to the Watershed and to pick a film that I have no prior knowledge of. Like all great Bristol entertainment spots, it celebrates the best parts of art.”
