Redcliffe assault leaves one man in hospital
Two people have been arrested after a man was left in hospital with serious head injuries following an assault in a secluded park near St Mary Redcliffe Church.
Police and forensic officers erected a tent at the scene of the incident in Quaker Burial Ground after the man in his 50s was attacked at about 8.20pm on Tuesday night.
A man and a woman, both in their 30s, were been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, police said.

A spokesman added: “The area has been cordoned off to allow specialist crime scene investigators to carry out a detailed examination of the area.
“It is believed a number of people were in the park at the time of the incident and we would urge them to get in touch.”
