Police seek witness to fatal assault
Police have released an image of a man they believe could have been a key witness in the Gloucester Road assault which left one man dead.
Lee Willingham, 41, was left fighting for his life after being attacked outside Sainsbury’s on the junction with Zetland Road at about 1.30am on Saturday, October 10.
He died in hospital 10 days later. Ryan Lovegrove, 21, from Brislington, has been charged with manslaughter.
Police said they now need to speak to a suspected witness of the assault. “We are keen to speak to the man in the attached CCTV who may have witnessed the incident,” a spokesperson said.
“He is described as a white male, of medium height and large build wearing a black top with logos on the front and back. He was also wearing a hat and glasses.
