Appeal after Keynsham bank robbery

A branch of Halifax on Keynsham High Street was robbed after a man entered the bank and handed the cashier a note suggesting he was armed.

Although no weapons were seen during the robbery, the man left the store with a “significant amount of cash”, police said.

The incident took place on Tuesday shortly before 11.40am. Police have released CCTV images of the suspect.

He is described as white, of medium build, and wearing black clothing including black gloves and a black beanie hat. He was also wearing glasses and had a short, dark beard. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately on 101 and quote crime reference number 5216214302.
