Death of man found on roof garden treated as suspicious
Police are treating a man’s death as suspicious after he was found on a roof garden at a block of flats in Redcliffe.
The major crime investigation team has been brought in to lead enquiries, with a forensic post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday to determine cause of death.
A member of the public called police at 8.19am on Tuesday after discovering the body at a property on Redcliff Street.
It is believed to be that of a man in his 50s. While formal identification has not yet been carried out, his next of kin has been informed.
Police have been speaking to residents, searching the area and reviewing CCTV footage.
Superintendent Matt Ebbs said: “We know this incident will cause significant concern within the local community and our neighbourhood team will continue to carry out visible patrols, to provide reassurance and answer any questions.”
