Citizens Advice to launch drop-in in its busiest suburb
Citizens Advice (CA) is launching a new drop-in clinic to serve the charity’s busiest South Gloucestershire parish.
The free-of-charge sessions will start on June 4 at Kingsmeadow@MadeForever in Kingswood and will be funded by the town council.
They will run from 1-3pm on Thursdays with a trained adviser able to help with almost any issue.
CA typically supports people with debt, benefits, housing and relationships issue, plus many problems besides.
It provides free, independent advice and runs campaigns to fix societal issues.

The charity decided to launch the clinic after it helped more people from Kingswood than any other South Gloucestershire area last year.
With such high demand, it wanted to create a drop-in service on the doorstep rather than making locals travel to one of the CA’s other South Gloucestershire locations.
Those include Filton, Bradley Stoke, Lyde Green and Cadbury Heath.
Councillor Sean Rhodes, chair of Kingswood Town Council, said: “At a time when many households are facing growing financial pressure, we are investing in the delivery of accessible, independent advice and support for our residents.”
