Christmas ice rink and market plan revealed
Millennium Square will once again be home to an ice rink plus a brand new Christmas Market throughout the festive season.
At-Bristol has announced it will once again host the real-ice ice rink which attracted more than 20,000 skaters last year.
A ‘fire and ice’ launch event, ‘frozen sing and skate-along’ sessions and a Christmas lights switch-on are among the events planned.
is needed now More than ever
The launch event on Saturday, November 8 is open to the public from 5-7pm with a ‘fire and ice’ theme features a pyrotechnic display from Cameron Balloons and free face painting.
Special events include two ‘frozen sing and skate-along’ sessions using the Big Screen on Sunday, November 30 and Saturday, December 13, and a professional skating display from the Bristol Ice Skating Club on November 16.
Meanwhile, a collaboration between At-Bristol and the Harbourside Market means this year the square will also be offering the new market, which will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from November 28 to December 21.
The Ice Rink Market will host 42 stalls filled by local companies offering gifts and more featuring the best of Bristol and the West.
Applications from traders are now wanted, with organisers inviting all those interested in taking up a stall to get in touch. Visit www.theharboursidemarket.co.uk/christmas-markets or email [email protected] for details.
Tickets for the ice rink will cost £8.50 for adults, £7.50 for concessions and £6.50 for children, with reduced entry rates for group bookings and a discount for booking online. Opening times vary, so visit www.at-bristol.org.uk/icerink or call 0845 345 1235 for more information.
