Bristol Charity Advent Calendar 2025, day 21: Youth Moves

By Karen Johnson  Saturday Dec 20, 2025

Youth Moves encourages young people to live their lives to the fullest while feeling safe, being themselves and happy.

The charity works closely with the young people of south Bristol by offering them a place to meet, a chance to participate in activities and engage in community-wide projects.

In 2024, the charity delivered nearly 500 sessions and mentored young people for a total of 726 hours.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Youth Moves will move to the 224 Youth Zone facility in 2026 when it opens

Through its many purpose-built services, Youth Moves offers young people an alternative to do something meaningful.

The charity also runs a variety of youth clubs, each dedicated to a different group of young people. Some of these clubs are: LGBTQ+ group, inters club, seniors club, juniors club and SEND youth group.

A large facility called 224 Youth Zone, currently being built near Hartcliffe Way, will help the charity expand its membership capacity from 800 to 4,000.

In their 2024-2025 impact report, CEO Matt Justice said: “This has been a year of significant impact. Across South Bristol, we have continued to deliver high-quality youth work, providing safe spaces, trusted relationships, and meaningful opportunities that help young people build confidence, form friendships, and develop new skills.

“These achievements form the foundation for the next chapter of our work, the opening of 224 Youth Zone.

“By embedding the Youth Zone into the wider community and working closely with local organisations, schools, and businesses, we are ensuring it will extend and amplify the impact we are already seeing, creating a hub designed around young people’s needs and aspirations where even more young people can thrive.”
