Wrap shop to shut after 12 years
The owner of a popular wrap shop says that he is closing the business “with the heaviest of hearts” at the end of November.
Shake, Wrap & Roll has been serving hungry customers on Cheltenham Road near the arches for the last 12 years.
But a combination of factors has led to owner Glen Wood’s decision to close its shutters for the final time.
is needed now More than ever
In a statement published on Instagram, Glen said: “I don’t think I really need to go into too much detail about the reasoning why, but as a business I’ve tried to keep afloat on my own, it’s no longer sustainable with the cost of everything.”
Glen said that running Shake, Wrap & Roll has “been the most amazing experience”.

Glen added: “I have loved this with all my heart and really hope that you’ve all enjoyed the wraps.
“Nothing made me happier than someone trying my food and then being super chuffed with how good it is. I want to thank all of our regulars over the last decade plus, you’ve kept me in business and as someone who never thought I’d have my own shop, I can’t thank you enough. I genuinely love all of you.
“I’m honestly heartbroken about having to close, but also have to be realistic. This has been the very best thing I’ve ever done, so come and see me over the next two weeks to get your final wrap fix and chinwag. There will be crying.”
