The World Cup of Wine comes to Bristol wine bar
As England prepare to start their World Cup campaign, a wine bar with two locations in Bristol is continuing their own World Cup-themed events.
On the evening that England play Croatia at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, KASK on North Street will be hosting a tasting of five of their favourite English wines.
Meanwhile, KASK’s World Cup of Wine will see wine-producing footballing nations go head-to-head in a knockout competition.
Each day, guests will be able to sample two competing countries’ wines for £12 before casting their vote for who should progress to the next round.
Every vote will be entered into a sweepstake with one winner taking home a case of wine from the KASK tournament’s champion.

It comes as another event at KASK is believed to be a UK-first for expectant mums.
Pregnancy-friendly wine and cheese evenings, pairing alcohol-free wines with pregnancy-safe cheeses, began as a one-off gathering but has continued with considerable success.
The KASK team told Bristol24/7 that these “have quickly become one of the venue’s most talked-about events… allowing expectant mums to enjoy one of life’s favourite combinations without worrying about what’s on the menu”.
“With partners, friends and family welcome, the evenings are designed to help expectant parents connect, share experiences and build friendships.”
Upcoming dates for the pregnancy-friendly wine and cheese evenings include June 25 at KASK on North Street in Bedminster and July 16 at KASK² on Cheltenham Road.
