Vegetarian cafe to open in Clifton Village

By bristol247, Monday Aug 21, 2017

East Village Cafe in the heart of Clifton Village promises to be a 100 per cent vegetarian cafe.

Healthy food and drink on offer will include sandwiches, smoothies and salads, and there will also be plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.

The new cafe, that doesn’t yet have an opening date, is set to occupy the site of the former Arch House Deli between Boyce’s Avenue and Victoria Square.

It’s a prestigious location and one often immortalised in paintings:

‘Autumn Evening, Arch House Deli, Clifton’ by Abigail McDougall – who is exhibiting at Bristol Affordable Art Fair next month

The new cafe also has big boots to fill, with Arch House Deli being named Deli of the Year 2015 at the Global Cheese Awards and winning Best Deli at the Bristol Good Food Awards in 2014.

Owners Debbie and David will continue to run Arch House Deli as a business to supply cheese wedding cakes, host cheese and wine events, and further develop their online shop.
