‘Social darts’ experience coming to Bristol with Flight Club
Flight Club‘s ‘social darts’ experience could soon be coming to Bristol.
Flight Club offers a number of different multiplayer games of darts alongside cocktails and pizzas in steampunk fairground-themed surroundings.
It continues the trend of ‘activity bars’, joining The Lanes (tenpin bowling), Kongs (arcade games) and Whistle Punks (axe throwing) which all offer something a bit different from a quiet drink.
Flight Club already has six locations across the UK in London, Manchester and Birmingham, with another venue also due to open in Leeds; as well as two in the USA in Chicago and Boston.
“Whether you’re an expert darts sniper or a total beginner, everyone has a chance to win when they step up to one of our multiple throw lines,” says the Flight Club website.
Flight Club is due to open in Bristol on 41 Corn Street, which was built in 1964 as the new head office for the Bristol & West building society.
The building was due to form part of a boutique hotel but its six floors are now being advertised as office space.
Flight Club have submitted an application to Bristol City Council to open on the ground floor, with opening hours of 9am to 12.30am Monday to Wednesday and 9am to 1.30am Thursday to Sunday.
It is currently unknown how much a game of darts will cost in Bristol, with technology keeping players’ scores for them like at ten-pin bowling lanes and friends hiring an oche for an evening’s entertainment.
At Flight Club’s four London bars, each oche costs £40 (peak) and £20 (off-peak) per 60 minutes; with the cost in Manchester and Birmingham £30 (peak) and £15 (off-peak) per hour.
