Pub’s Sunday roast bookings for 2026 sell out in just 11 minutes
Alarms were set across Bristol for 10am on New Year’s Day to ensure the best chance of securing a Sunday roast booking at the Bank Tavern for 2026 when reservations opened.
Sittings for the whole of the year at the award-winning Old City pub promptly sold out in a record 11 minutes.
So it’s bragging rights on social media for the lucky few but better luck next time for those who unfortunately missed out in Bristol’s own gastronomic Glastonbury.

“Bristol is amazing!” the Bank landlord Sam Gregory told Bristol24/7.
“We sold out in 11 minutes.
“We’re absolutely blown away by the support Bristol has shown for one of its many strong independent venues and it recognises the effort our team put in week in week out, using fantastic local suppliers.
“I just wished the government would support small businesses as much as our customers do!”
The Bank Tavern is on the route of Martin Booth’s walking tour of the Old City and Castle Park. To find out more and to book, visit www.yuup.co/experiences/explore-bristol-s-quirkiest-corners
