New coffee range to support men’s mental health charity
A third generation coffee roaster has joined forces with a men’s mental health charity by unveiling a new coffee range to raise funds for the latter.
Wogan Coffee has issued the new decaf range, which is billed as an “afternoon coffee blend”.
Ten per cent from every pack that is sold will go to Talk Club, in order to raise vital funds for the charity.
The launch was coincided with Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.

The new decaf blend to support Talk Club was launched from the Pump House
Talk Club, which started from the back room at a pub in Southville, has grown into a national network of over 150 clubs.
The charity was founded in the face of an alarming suicide rate among men, who are reluctant seek help or open up about mental health.
For the founders, Ben Akers and Gavin Thorpe, the issue was more personal due to the loss of friends to suicide.
Akers said: “Wogan x Talk Club 10 has been such a success that we challenged them to create a decaf blend just as good.
“We realised that many men (and women) avoid caffeine after 3pm because it affects their sleep.
“So, looking at our three pillars of mental fitness – alongside talking about our feelings, obviously – diet, sleep and exercise, we thought: what if we could help raise money for the charity while also helping people sleep better?
“You’ve heard of breakfast tea – this is afternoon coffee.
“A decaf blend that still gives you time to take 10 minutes out and ask yourself, or a friend: ‘How are you? Out of 10?’ – but in the afternoon.”

Ten per cent of the sales of the new decaf afternoon blend by Wogan Coffee will go to Talk Club
According Akers, Talk Club began in 2019 in response to the stark reality that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK, where a life is taken every 90 minutes.
Wogan Coffee, which operates from St Jude, has been one of the biggest names among independent coffee roasters with over a 50-year legacy.
Matt Beynon, key accounts manager at Wogan Coffee, said: “We’re very proud to launch the new afternoon Talk Club blend.
“We realised not many people drink caffeine after three o’clock, so we thought, let’s create an afternoon coffee – one that, as it says here, you can drink up, not stay up.”
The range was used to create a tiramisu during the launch to provide a taster of the new range
Benyon added: “To give it a proper launch today, although unfortunately the weather hasn’t quite been on our side, we’ve created a tiramisu slush and a cold brew-style espresso martini to go with it.”

The new decaf range was launched at the Pump House, a Bristol Beer Factory-branded pub.
The partnership of Bristol Beer Factory with Talk Club goes back many years. Bristol Beer Factory’s low-alcohol beer, Clear Head, supports the charity with five per cent of its sales.
