New brewery and bar opens in railway arch

By Martin Booth  Monday Dec 20, 2021

Bristol’s newest brewery has opened just in time for Christmas in a railway arch near Temple Meads.

The rumble of trains passing overhead can occasionally be heard when sitting inside the new premises of Little Martha, whose neighbours include a bike shop and a doughnut cafe.

Three beers from Little Martha are currently on tap, with room for ten different kegs and a cask due to make an appearance behind the bar soon.

Two of Little Martha’s first beers are Mysterious Intergalactic, a New Zealand pale ale; and Neighbour We Left Behind, an IPA infused with Earl Grey tea.

Little Martha, located in arch 23 on Oxford Street in St Philip’s, will next be open this week from Wednesday to Christmas Eve and then from December 28 to 31.
