Goldbrick House closes for second time

Goldbrick House now has the rare distinction of having opened and closed twice.

There was some bafflement when the venue on Park Street was reopened by new owners in 2024 eight years after the original incarnation had shut.

It promised to offer “luxury and the unexpected” within a number of “curated” rooms each with “its own unexpected personality with a vibrant sense of style”.

A private members club was also promised to be coming soon.

But signs on the window show that bailiffs were recently instructed to take possession of the premises on behalf of landlord Clem Woodward.
