Family opens new restaurant at original home
A family has returned to their original home in Easton with a new restaurant.
Msala Postcode is now open at 15 High Street in Easton, where Jaspreet Marwah and her family first opened Msala Library in 2017.
In 2023, the family’s “vibrant” Indian cooking found a new home on Fishponds Road with the opening of Msala Ministry, which soon became the primary site for both of the family’s businesses.
While Msala Library now runs as a delivery and takeaway service from the family’s Fishponds restaurant, Msala Postcode has opened as a dining restaurant at the Easton site, with Jaspreet’s daughter, Nehmat, now taking the reins.

The new restaurant in Easton also has an all-weather outdoor dining area
Nehmat says the Easton site holds “special memories” for the family, as the foundation site for their culinary dreams.
She added: “It’s always been our home, so it feels amazing to be expanding the company and returning to Easton with a new brand.
“Whilst the name has changed, our approach to traditional Indian dishes, cooked with love, will remain the same, as will our approach to hospitality.
“We don’t want to just provide service – we want people to feel at home, and we treat every customer like they’re a member of our family.
“We can’t wait to welcome all of the people who have continued to support Msala Library through takeaway back to our original restaurant to enjoy our new dine-in experience.”
All the Msala restaurants promise an array of Indian dishes, ranging from curries and kebabs to biryanis and traditional sweets.
