Duo behind BANK to open modern French restaurant

By Francesca Boswell  Tuesday Feb 11, 2025

BANK owner and founder, Dan O’Regan, alongside executive chef and co-owner, Jack Briggs-Horan, have announced plans for their second project.

Their brand new restaurant Lapin is due to open in Wapping Wharf on April 2.

Opening its doors in 2021, BANK has won a number of awards and currently focuses on contemporary fire cooking.

Now four years later after BANK’s opening, Dan and Jack are set to open their brand new restaurant, bringing their modern take on French cuisine and bistro culture to Wapping Wharf.

Lapin’s seasonal menu will be built around starters, mains and desserts, with Dan and Jack promising that warm hospitality will still anchor the dining experience.

Dan said: “Having enjoyed such success and support for our wood fired sharing plates ethos at BANK, we’re unbelievably excited to be opening a restaurant that’s inspired by the inimitable style of French cooking…

“Wapping Wharf is without a doubt a bastion of incredible restaurants in Bristol.

“From having our neighbourhood restaurant in Totterdown, it felt right to branch out to such a vibrant and community-minded part of the Bristol dining scene.”
