With four sites in Bristol, Oowee has become a cult classic – and likely a large influence on us Bristolians choosing burgers as our top takeaway food of all time.

Oowee’s aim was to redefine junk food by serving deliciously indulgent meals made with high-quality ingredients. Their menu includes mouth-watering burgers, fried chicken, loaded

fries, and shakes, perfect for enjoying with friends at home or as a delightful takeaway during sunny park outings.

Given Oowee’s popularity in Bristol, it’s no surprise that the convenience of ordering through Deliveroo is being used by some to maximum advantage – Operations Director, Lina Blythe, recently revealed that “there are five individuals in Bristol that order every two days through Deliveroo.”

As part of an ongoing push to celebrate the variety of Bristol’s best foodie hot spots, Deliveroo has been spotlighting Oowee amongst nine others through a campaign that celebrates street art, creativity, and independent restaurants.

In partnership with Upfest, the organisation behind Europe’s largest street art festival, Deliveroo launched a show-stopping mural in the city centre alongside 10 bespoke pieces of artwork that best depict the essence of each restaurant.

Oowee’s artwork was created by the creative genius that is Kid Crayon – a visual artist and illustrator based in Bristol who has always been passionate about character design.

Kid Crayon’s art style has always been deeply rooted in hip-hop, skateboard and graffiti culture, but his biggest influences come from the cartoons and video games he was engrossed with during his childhood in the 90s.

These inspirations can clearly be seen in the hamburger character he has created to represent Oowee, bringing to life the bright colours and attractiveness of the cuisine. The clever touch of adding the Deliveroo bum bag and stereo represents the popularity of street style and music in Bristol, which also works perfectly for Oowee as the restaurant has hosted successful DJ sets and events in the city before.

Kid Crayon’s artwork is currently on display throughout Bristol, alongside the other nine pieces of artwork for the campaign.
