Noods Levels announce production masterclass event series

By Issy Packer, Friday Sep 15, 2023

TREAD, a three-part series running this autumn, aims to provide aspiring producers the skills and connections needed to support their careers.

Noods Levels CIC will be working with the likes of Dismantle, Aya and Frazer Ray to provide masterclasses, developing the next wave of producers at The Cube Microplex on September 26, October 24 and November 21.

The first event kickstarting the series will be Dismantle, the producer has been immersed in UK club culture for more than a decade, DJing with Bristol pioneer DJ Die and collaborating with legendary MCs D Double, Inja and Emz.

The masterclass will be hosted by Bristol-based MC and founder of the Bristol-based record label Durkle Disco, Tom Koast.

The second event will be with London-based artist, Aya. Having dazzled the UK underground with her experimental club productions and genre hopping DJ sets, her mixes showcase her unique style.

Drawing inspiration from her creative upbringing in West Yorkshire, Aya’s event will be hosted by one of the heads of Modular institution, Elevator Sound, and co-runner of Paradisco Nights, Ben Chilton.

Completing the series is Frazer Ray, who is a name that’s taken the UK rave scene by storm with  DJ sets packed with breaks, garage and hardcore. This closing masterclass will be hosted by A for Alpha, who specialise in house, garage and techno.

Each talk will be followed by a Q+A session, which will allow participants to get answers to their questions and delve deeper into their careers.

The series project was made possible through the Youth Music Incubator Fund and Footlocker, with support from PMT and Noods Radio.
