Dizraeli announces crowdfunding campaign for album tour

By Issy Packer  Thursday Mar 24, 2022

The Bristol born rapper and poet has launched the campaign as a response to the climate crisis. Dizraeli, born Rowan Alexander Sawday, will be celebrating 20 years of releases with his newest album ‘Twenty Years Deep’ and a tour across the UK including a Bristol date at SWX in September.

With the slogan ‘it’s time to tour differently’ in mind, Dizraeli aims to complete his mission by raising money for an ecological and socially responsible tour. Promising to bring something special each night of the tour, the musician will be assembling special guests, a string section and collaborating with community choirs to bring the show alive.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

In order to reach his goal of an ecological and sustainable tour, Dizraeli aims to travel on trains or low-carbon vehicles where possible, plant a tree in every city the tour visits and to make all merchandise from recycled or sustainable materials. He also aims to connect with local communities by collaborating with community choirs, offering free tickets to young people who are from a lower socio-economic background and to make one of the shows into an interactive livestream for those who can’t physically attend.

Pushing the music industry onwards and forcing other musicians to realise that touring like it is 2002 is no longer sustainable or viable in 2022 is a key aspect of Dizraeli’s goal.  It’s an ambitious project for the genre-bending artist but a necessary one; “The ecosystems that support our existence are in crisis, thanks to the myopic mindsets of Western culture. As artists, we are the makers of culture. It’s time to tour differently.”
