Mary Poppins Returns
Emily Blunt assumes creepy levitating sprog-wrangler duties in belated Disney sequel
Undeterred by what might be politely described as ‘mixed reviews’, cinemas are putting on wall-to-wall screenings of Disney’s belated sequel Mary Poppins Returns this week.
If you find yourself eager to escape the bosom of your family after 24 hours of cabin fever, you’ll be delighted to learn that many cinemas are closed only on Christmas Day. There are previews of Bumblebee on Christmas Eve and from Boxing Day onwards. Comedy spoof Holmes & Watson is also previewing from Boxing Day onwards.
Bristol Film Festival’s takeover of the Passenger Shed straddles the break, and we’ve helpfully collected all the other special screenings of Christmassy films. Yes, It’s a Wonderful Life is back. Again.
