You may not be aware that the world needs an eighth Rocky movie, or a sequel to Ryan Coogler’s 2017 Creed spin-off, but here it is anyway.

It’s a kind of next generation deal in which Michael B. Jordan‘s Donnie Creed, son of Rocky’s former rival Apollo Creed, trains to wallop Florian Munteanu‘s Viktor Drago, son of Rocky’s other former rival Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), who killed Apollo back in the day (i.e Rocky IV – do try to keep up). Sly Stallone‘s back in training mode as Rocky, but, in keeping with the passing of the torch theme, Coogler has been replaced by rising young director Steven Caple Jr.
