Bristol’s cheapest multiplex tickets revealed
Feeling broke after Christmas but still want to see the upcoming awards season contenders? You’re in luck: Bristol’s cheapest multiplex tickets have just been announced. The bad news is that they’re only available at one cinema on one day a week.
From January 9, all standard tickets at the Vue Longwell Green will cost a mere £3.99 each Monday. That’s just in time for the release of La La Land (Jan 12), Jackie (Jan 20), Denial (Jan 27) and Hacksaw Ridge (Jan 27).
We’ve scoured the terms and conditions so you don’t have to, and there doesn’t appear to be a catch. You don’t need to sign up for anything and the only films that are excluded are the ones you’d expect to pay a premium for anyway – such as 3D flicks, for which there’s a £1.60 surcharge.
Vue tell us that this is an open-ended promotion, though obviously the offer could be withdrawn at any time. We’ll have to wait and see whether it sparks a local multiplex price war. It’s perhaps worth noting, however, that these aren’t the cheapest cinema tickets in town. The Orpheus community cinema in Henleaze has its own Bargain Monday promotion with tickets priced at just £3.75, although the choice of films is more limited.
