It was the hottest edition yet of the summer concert series by the harbour which held its first events in 2014.
This year Bristol Sounds combined musical nostalgia with hard-hitting classics and fresh sounds, rolling out a lineup of the Kooks, Super Furry Animals, the Streets, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and Royel Otis.
Despite record-breaking temperatures the crowds, equipped with fans of all descriptions, gathered in the amphitheatre to enjoy gigs that bridged early evening sun and semi-cool after-hours darkness, and a spot of football too.
