Lucy Pearman treats Bristol to her surreal moon-inspired show ‘Lunartic’
You might have seen Lucy Pearman before.
Or rather, you might have seen her dressed variously as an Edwardian maid on a quest for the perfect cabbage (2017’s Maid of Cabbage), or a bunch of grapes, a lost potato and a little worm (all featuring in 2018’s Fruit Loop).
Baggage in 2019 saw her packing and repacking herself inside a suitcase for an hour, ostensibly aiming to pass the baggage allowance regulations.

Lucy Pearman in Lunartic
In recent years, Pearman has focused primarily on writing and acting projects, most notably appearing in two Spencer Jones-led BBC Two sitcoms, The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk and Mister Winner.
Coming back to standup in 2025 with Lunartic, she was twice award-nominated: firstly for Best Variety Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, and then for Comic Originality at the Malcolm Hardee Awards, taking place at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Featuring Pearman’s characteristic warmth, daftness and love of DIY costumes, the show centres around the moon, in “a huge-hearted story about loneliness, big dreams, and wanting to be seen”.
