Wes Anderson-themed life drawing night comes to Arnolfini

A life drawing night coming to Arnolfini on July 2 will be based on the cult cinema director Wes Anderson.

The creative mind behind films including The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom and Fantastic Mr Fox is often hailed for his highly detailed and stylised aesthetic, as well as a distinctive colour palette.

Led by Bristol Portrait Club, the special event will feature two models, and a raft of props and costumes helping to recreate some of Anderson’s most celebrated scenes, all set within a relaxed environment and soundtracked by music from the films.

Materials are provided, although participants can also bring their own – and no prior experience is required.

All artists will receive a complementary themed sketchbook.
