More than 100 people join ‘Parade for the Animals’
Giant inflatable models of a pig, a sheep and a cow floated above protesters, as they marched through the city centre for a ‘Parade for the Animals’.
The march was organised by FriendsNotFood to celebrate veganism and “ignite passion for a compassionate, vegan lifestyle”.
One of the protesters wore a bright yellow-feathered chicken costume, while another was dressed as the red-nosed reindeer, Rudolph.
Following the parade, people were invited back to the starting point on Queen Square for an afternoon of vegan-friendly food and activities.
