Bristol students have best city life

By Rachel Morris  Friday Apr 24, 2015

Bristol University was crowned the winner of ‘Best City Life’ on Thursday night at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards, beating stiff competition from other major city universities, including Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Glasgow, Leeds, and Manchester.

The study by Whatuni surveyed 20,000 students over 12 months.

The accolade won’t come as surprise for many, after Bristol was already named ‘best city in the UK’ last year by The Sunday Times.

Charlotte Wilson, Head of Customer Relations and Student Marketing said: “It’s not just the nightlife which ticks the boxes, it’s the rich culture, vibrant music scene, countless festivals, free activities, beautiful green spaces and independent shops and cafes.”
