Guinness sponsors Bristol City Women in ‘historic’ deal
For the first time in 30 years, Guinness has returned to a UK football shirt sponsorship in their partnership with Bristol City Women.
This new multi-year partnership sparks a further commitment to women’s football, with Guinness also having recently made partner with Arsenal, Newcastle and Aston Villa.

In celebration of this pairing, Guinness is offering adult ticket holders of Saturday’s match against Sunderland a free pint.

Information about this will be emailed to Season Ticket Holders and match ticket purchasers on Friday.
Guinness has also committed to using its sponsorship rights to champion local football culture in Bristol and donate 100 general admission tickets to female-owned or female-operated pubs around Bristol.

Bristol City Women and Ashton Gate board director Lisa Knights commented on the importance of this partnership.
She said: “Partnering with Guinness is an historic moment for our club and women’s football.
“To have them join us as our principal partner is a huge vote of confidence in what we are building in our city, with our players, fans and the wider Bristol community.”
Bristol City Woman board director and chief strategy officer at Mercury13, Hannah Haynes, also recognised the collaboration as a great opportunity to offer fun opportunities to fans and excel the already rapidly increasing attention to the sport.
She said: “It marks the start of more big-name brands investing in women’s football and will help maintain the momentum of the sport as one of the fastest growing in the world.”
Sports sponsorship lead at Guinness, Jamie Brooks, has noted how integral Bristol City Women’s club is to the Bristol community and how important this sponsorship is to Guinness, saying: “Bristol is a footballing city and it’s fantastic to partner with a club that is such a staple of the community.”
