Kate’s Kitchen takes next step on sustainability journey
The acclaimed Bristol-based catering firm Kate’s Kitchen has completed a ten-week Sustainability in Business Skills Bootcamp delivered by Future Leap and funded by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority.
The course is aimed at professionals across all departments, from HR to operations, equipping them with the tools and confidence to embed environmental and social responsibility into everyday business practices.
It comes at a time when many organisations are under increasing pressure to meet sustainability goals, but often lack the practical know-how to implement change.
Participants explore a wide range of topics, from the history of climate change to the social dimensions of sustainability, alongside hands-on strategies that can be applied directly within their organisations.

Kate Ploughman, founder of Kate’ Kitchen, said the course had provided both knowledge and practical direction, adding that the business is now looking to apply what it has learned.
“I’ve learned so much – from the history of climate change to the social side of sustainability, as well as practical strategies businesses can implement. I’m really looking forward to applying this at Kate’s Kitchen Catering Ltd.
“A big thank you to Laura Millar and Lauren Gillis for their incredible knowledge and for running such a well-organised and engaging course.”
