Grundon earns two nominations for South West business awards
Bristol waste management and recycling specialist Grundon has earned a spot among the contenders for two distinguished South West regional business awards.
The Circle2Success (C2S) awards, which draw entries from numerous businesses across the region each year, have shortlisted Grundon for the Medium Business and Family Business of the Year categories. The judging process is set for April, with finalists set to be unveiled in May, followed by the awards ceremony in Cirencester in July.
Daniel Peacey, regional sales manager at Grundon, expressed delight at the recognition, attributing it to the hard work of the team throughout the year and the company’s ambitious outlook for the future.
Established in 1929, Grundon, now under its third generation of management led by Neil Grundon, has been expanding its presence in Bristol since 2020. The company boasts a growing client base of over 3,300 businesses across its South West depots, facilitated by strategic initiatives such as the introduction of a £300k electric collection vehicle in the city last summer.
Looking ahead, Grundon plans to reinforce its regional presence by establishing a new centre in Avonmouth while pursuing innovative sustainability schemes. Daniel emphasised Grundon’s commitment to a forward thinking culture centred on longevity and environmental responsibility, which aligns with the evolving ethos of the UK business community.
The C2S community, known for championing positive change and growth, has seen a record number of entries this year, making its Business Awards the largest and most esteemed in the South West region. Angela Edwards, founder and director at C2S, extended best wishes to all shortlisted candidates, underscoring the importance of showcasing the remarkable organisations driving the region’s prosperity.
