Bristol Distilling Co hosts prohibition party to celebrate second anniversary of Black’s double barrel whiskey

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Nov 14, 2023

This Saturday, 18th Nov sees an exciting event at the Bristol Distilling Company taproom with live music from Concrete Prairie and a DJ set from local legends Spex Collective, with Bristol favourites Bianchis Group cooking up a storm in their food truck. The event is being billed as a ‘Prohibition Party’, celebrating the second anniversary of the release of Bristol Distilling Co’s small batch whiskey project, Black’s Double Barrel.

Jake Black, Founder of Bristol Distilling Company, said: “We open the taproom regularly over the summer months but in the winter are focussing on a programme of bigger events instead. The Rugby World Cup Final was a great night and our Christmas market on 9th Dec is lined up to be super busy but this gig by Concrete Prairie is the one I’ve been most looking forward to. The distillery is going to be rocking.”

Concrete Prairie borrow from the genres of Folk, Country, Indie, Americana & Blues to make their unique ‘heartworn racket’. Tickets are £25 and include a £10 token for the Bianchis food truck, a G&T AND a branded glass & tote bag to take home.

Bristol Distilling Co is an award winning distillery in Bedminster, making small batch gin and vodka. Before Christmas they will be adding two brand new products to their range – a white and spiced rum.

Dave Faulkner, one of the founders of Extract Coffee Roasters, who this year joined the team at Bristol Distilling Co, said: “We’re really excited to launch Hank’s Rum, it’s something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for a long time. And this Saturday at the taproom is going to be epic.”

There are a few tickets left to buy from the Bristol Distilling Co webshop.
