Barcan+Kirby achieves Menopause Friendly Accreditation
The award-winning law firm Barcan+Kirby has achieved Menopause Friendly Accreditation, two years after committing to becoming a menopause-friendly employer.
The accreditation, awarded by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, is the only industry-recognised standard of its kind and is regarded as a mark of excellence for workplace support around menopause.
Since making its commitment in 2024, the firm has worked to raise awareness of menopause both internally and externally, while delivering training sessions for colleagues across the business.
As part of the accreditation process, Barcan+Kirby was assessed by an independent panel and required to demonstrate evidence across five key areas: culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and working environment.

Claire Pennell, HR manager at Barcan+Kirby, said: “I’m so proud that we have received this accreditation. Normalising conversations to remove stigma around menopause has been key to creating an open and supportive working environment.
“The openness of our employees in sharing their personal experiences has been truly inspiring, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed and continues to support Barcan+Kirby in ensuring everyone feels they belong.”
