Performance by Tessitoura of this opera of the Puss in Boots story, performed by children aged 3-17.
“Tessitoura is passionate about keeping children interested in singing (curriculum cutbacks have curtailed singing in schools) and to that end we are launching the premiere of a fairytale opera with children, for children.
“The concept is devised by Sophie Kirk-Harris who has adapted, translated and directed the project as well as singing the part of the cat and she is supported by professional adult singers in the character roles.
“The children, ranging in age from 3-17, form the chorus of courtiers, farmers and servants and the opera is with piano accompaniment.
