The Orb
The Orb have been around since some of the earliest days of dance music, inventing the ambient house sound with a weaving mix of electronica. 30 years on their sound is equally as fresh, original and engaging as it’s was when it premiered in the 80’s. Originally taking inspiration from Tangerine Dream, The Orb intended to create an alternative to the all-night rave scene – the type of music that helps bring you down after a long night of dancing. While rave culture has moved on over the years, The Orb have steadily been releasing album’s, from 1992’s seminal U.F.Orb all the way through to 2018’s No Sound’s are Out of Bounds. This tour has them looking back across the entirety of their career in celebration of their achievements.
