Grubby lowlife Queens crim Connie Nikas (Robert Pattinson) wants to help out his vulnerable younger brother Nick (co-director Benny Safdie), who has unspecified learning difficulties. So naturally he persuades him to take part in a bank heist. This succeeds, but Nick is arrested soon afterwards, sending Connie on a race against time through the night in a desperate quest to spring him.

The Safdie brothers’ follow-up to Heaven Knows What is a scuzzy, psychotic, tense and exhilarating thriller, driven by a pulsating electronic score from Oneohtrix Point Never and a career-best performance by Twilight star Robert Pattinson. Go here for our full review.
