The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Running Time
121 mins

The Lobster director Yorgos Lanthimos reunites with Colin Farrell for this universally acclaimed psychological horror flick that won the Best Screenplay gong at Cannes.

A creepy tale of guilt and retribution, it casts Farrell as a cardiologist and Nicole Kidman as his ophthalmologist wife who live an idyllic, middle-class suburban life with their two perfect children. But – hey – that’s not much of a movie, right? Enter troubled 16-year-old Barry Keoghan (last seen in Dunkirk), a fatherless kid whom Colin has more-or-less adopted for reasons that are about to become clear as things turn very dark indeed. Lanthimos’s trademark weirdness adds to the unease as sinister plot developments ensue.
