Doctor and amateur sailor Rife (Susanne Wolff) embarks on a solo voyage across the Atlantic. But her adventure is cut short when she enocunters a slowly sinking boat overloaded with refugees. The coastguard informs her that the official policy is not to intervene. So what should she do?

There are echoes of the Australian TV drama Safe Harbour in this tense German ethical dilemma drama. “This is All Is Lost with a spinning moral compass and a topical dimension that proves even more gripping than its brilliantly achieved visceral action,” enthused Variety.
