After Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis cark it, their spirits are alarmed to find their lovely home is purchased by a ghastly, vulgar New York yuppie couple (Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O’Hara), who move in with their surly, gothy teenage daughter (Winona Ryder). So they call an unstable exorcist (Michael Keaton) who specialises in ridding homes of human infestations.
Tim Burton‘s Oscar-winning (er, Best Makeup) 1988 comic fantasy has become something of a classic. A sequel with Ryder reprising her role has been in the works for decades.
