England Women to play in Bristol
England Women’s first home fixture since their historic World Cup performance in Canada will take place in November at Ashton Gate.
Former Bristol Academy manager Mark Sampson will take the Lionesses back to Bristol where they will face Bosnia & Herzegovina on Sunday, November 29.
The match will be England’s second UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 qualifier after traveling to Estonia for their opening match on September 21.
Tickets are on sale now priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for children. A family ticket (two adults and two children) is available at £10 and group booking discounts apply.
Bristol Sport chief executive Andrew Billingham said: “We are thrilled that The FA has chosen the new Ashton Gate Stadium to host England Women’s first home match since the World Cup. It really builds on our vision of putting Bristol on the map as a top sporting city attracting first-class events.”
