A Phoenix NextGen spokesperson said that for Ibrahim, “football has always meant far more than just the game itself”.
The spokesperson told Bristol24/7: “It’s been a way of life – a platform to connect with others, build lasting friendships and uplift those around him.
“Through football, he has found a sense of purpose and community, values that continue to shape both his personal journey and his approach to the sport.
“That journey has now led him to Saudi Arabia, where he is currently preparing for an upcoming fixture against Saudi Arabia – a milestone that reflects both his dedication and the recognition of his talent at the highest level.”

The Phoenix NextGen spokesperson added: “But beyond the personal achievement, this call-up carries a much deeper meaning.
“Representing Sudan is something he holds incredibly close to his heart.
“With ongoing war, hardship and conflict affecting many people back home, he is driven by a desire to give them something positive to hold onto.
“For him, wearing his country’s badge is not just about football – it’s about representing hope.
“He wants to bring smiles to those facing difficult times and use his platform to send a powerful message: no matter the circumstances, never give up.
“This call-up is not only a proud moment for him, but also for everyone at Phoenix Nextgen, as one of their own steps onto the international stage carrying both ambition and a greater purpose.”
