My Bristol Favourites: Alex Onyeahasi
Alex Onyeahasi plays rugby for Nigeria and Clifton, and while not on a sports pitch is a manager at Burra.
The fly-half grew up in Bedminster where one of Burra’s three cafes is now located, and is also part of the Tender Groove DJ collective whose next gig is at the Ship Inn on Lower Park Row on October 31.
These are Alex’s top-five Bristol favourites:

Unfold Sauna Club

“A few friends of mine set up Unfold Sauna Club at Five Acre Farm in Backwell and the space is beautiful. They also do really good Sunday yoga and sauna sessions.”
RWA

“For me, the RWA always has a really good rotation of little pieces instead of just all big rooms. You can grab a coffee there as well at Spicer & Cole and the staff are lovely.”
Bristol Old Vic Theatre School
“There is so much talent at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Some of my friends go there and I love to support them at their shows, especially at Bristol Old Vic. My first experience there was when I went to see A Monster Calls and after that I fell in love with the theatre.”
Women’s sport

“Women’s sport is pumping at the moment especially after the Women’s Rugby World Cup quarter-finals and semi-finals, and all of our teams are doing really well. A few friends of mine play for Bears and we get all the City girls in Burra every now and then. Women’s sport has got a lot of momentum right now and I love to see it still growing.”
Ashton Court

“I love going to Ashton Court. You can grab a coffee at Chapter & Holmes by the Suspension Bridge on the way; then go for a walk, go for a run, go for a cycle, play golf or even play footgolf.”
